Push-button Manual Override Control
In order to allow you to control your motion detector with manual control, this wall plate detector unit offers a push-button switch. If the lights are off, pressing the button on the unit will turn lights on and keep them on for as long as the room has movement that is being picked up by the sensor. The lights will be turned off once the motion in the room ceases, after the delayed-off time on the light sensor (10, 20 or 30 minutes) expires. If the lights are on at the time the button is pressed, pressing the button will turn lights off and keep them off even if the room is occupied with motion.

Field of View
The wall sensor provides a 180 degree range, with a maximum coverage area of approximately 2100 square feet.

The sensing distance maximum in front of the detector is 40 feet, and at each side is 30 feet. A "small-motion" zone detects even small body movements, and allows the lights to stay on even though larger motion is not detected in the room. The remainder of the field of view, the "large-motion" zone, is not as sensitive, and larger movements are required in these areas. The motion detector is adjustable by use of integral sliding blinders on each side of the lens, allowing restriction of the 180° field of motion detection down to 32 degrees. This will prevent detection that you don't want from areas such as hallways. Reduction of the motion detecting rante allows the unit to ignore motion at the far end of its range and avoid unnecessarily switching lights on. The range can be adjusted from 100% to about 36% of the total detection area. Very helpful!

Delayed timer
A choice of four delayed-off time settings, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or 30 minutes, is available. In addition, a setting of 30 seconds is designed to allow you to set up the motion detector to a desirable setting and position.

Background Light
The ambient light override feature will prevent the wall detector unit from switching lights on when there is ample natural sunlight in the area by the detector, regardless of occupancy, allowing for good energy savings. Adjusting this setting on this motion detector should be made when the light (ambient) is at the level where no artificial light is needed in the area.
